"Farm Fanfare"

While you're buying your locally grown groceries, stop by the PASA table for inspiration from Derek Stevens, chef at Casbah, or engage Will Clower, author of The French Don't Diet Plan, on the virtues of real food-butter, cream, chocolate and fresh fruits and vegetables. Enjoy the music and listen to some "food fiction."

CAFE' SCIENTIFIQUE "What to Eat: Organic, Sustainable, Local?"

  Join the local chapter of Cafe' Scientifique (an international organization promoting an interest in science) for a brief talk and lots of questions and answers with Penn State professor and PASA board member Mary Barbercheck. Dr. Barbercheck is conducting research on the effects of different agricultural practices, particularly as it relates to the soil food web. For more info: www.cafescipgh.org

"Fixing Our Broken Food System in Western PA"
