Our Cover Graphic Artist – Lisa Hamilton

It is our pleasure to use beautiful and moving photographic imagery on our conference materials this year. Lisa M. Hamilton, our closing keynote speaker, is the person “behind the lens” of our conference imagery. Lisa has been using both the camera and pen to express her interest and passion for agriculture and local food systems around the world for more than a decade. “For me, as a writer and photographer, I wouldn’t be complete using one medium and not the other. Having two different ways of expression is who I am. There are certain things that can only be captured in an image, and there are other things that require words to express.” Visit Lisa's website to see more of her work.

PASA Celebrates Photography
PASA is celebrating photography in many ways this year. By featuring Lisa’s photographs, and through a continued grant from the Bernheim Bequest to the PA Chapter of the Sierra Club which enables a very special exhibit of agricultural photographs at the PASA conference, photography that showcases the world of sustainable ag is definitely at the fore. PASA would like to thank Donald L. Gibbon, curator of the show, who is both a photographer and recipient of the grant. Those interested are encouraged to contact him at dongibbon@earthlink.net regarding images for the 2010 exhibit.
