School Students
This track will be
held on Penn State’s
main campus, with
transportation
provided to and from
the Penn Stater.
This exciting track
offers youth in
grades 9–12 the
opportunity to have
fun learning about a
wide-range of topics
related to
sustainable living;
food science; and
the use of
technology to
provide safe food
and fiber, clean air
and water, and
renewable energy. In
addition to the main
presentations, Penn
State faculty from
various departments
will discuss
educational and
career options
related to
agriculture and
sustainability.

tour of Blue Rock
Station, a green
living educational
center in rural
Ohio. Then they
will build their own
solar ovens out of
readily available
materials and cook a
tasty snack.
