Year after
year we hear the same kinds of comments regarding our annual
Farming for the Future Conference…”I am rejuvenated and looking
forward to another growing season,” or “The people at this
conference are so genuine and anxious to learn from each other,”
and even “The dream of a sustainable food system seems not so
far away when we all get together.”
Fact is,
this conference continues to grow in size and popularity because
it is so useful to our members. It gives them practical
information for their farms, enlivens the relationships that
make any sustainable community flourish and revives their
spirits for the struggles ahead.
This year we
have made changes for the conference to be even more useful. The
new, additional day (Thursday) is in response to many members’
comments that they wanted more time with their friends of common
interest. You will also find a rearrangement of the exhibitor
space and more physical space in which to socialize.
It’s our
intention to keep this time together one of the most valuable
experiences you will have in the coming year, and a major step
to a more sustainable future for us all.
