Let’s celebrate the production of our food with events throughout the State College area! As always, all seven of our area’s farmers markets will be open, and our Buy Fresh Buy Local® Partner restaurants will be cooking up locally raised vegetables, meats, and dairy products. The 10th annual Farm Tour will wrap up the week, offering demonstrations of farm activities that provide you with fresh goodness all year long. And if that’s not enough, Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) will also be celebrating on August 7th through 8th with their Annual FarmFest. More details about this weeklong event will be coming soon!

Sponsorship Opportunities

We're seeking local businesses that want to support the local food movement and this important week of events. Here are a few ways to support us!

      • Adopt a Farm - Eleven local farms have offered to open their fences and barn doors to their favorite customers - the locavores of Centre County. Your organization has the opportunity to adopt a farm by providing volunteers to staff the welcome table on a farm. You’ll be collecting revenue and tracking visitors for PASA, and you will be able to share your promotional and informational materials with everyone who visits.
      • Purchase Farm Tour Passes - Show your support of BFBL by heading out to the tour in herds! Invest in a pack of Farm Tour passes and hand them out to your friends, family, coworkers or customers. Passes cost $15 and cover everyone in one vehicle, or buy 10 or more passes and the cost is just $12 each.

We will gladly accept other forms of support as well. However you decide to support local food production in Centre County, your efforts will be recognized on the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) website and BFBL’s Facebook page. Contact Bethany Carter to learn more.
