Join Johnny Parker of Edible Earth Farm for an introduction to tool selection and equipment maintenance. Discuss machinery and supplies suitable for all of your tasks in the field, covering everything from tractors to hand tools, including tillers, seeders, transplanters, mulch layers, bale choppers, plows, cultivators, high-wheel cultivators, irrigation and row covers.
This Master Class is part of of the 2012 Back to Basics Learning Series. Over the course of the 2012 season, the PASA Western Region will be offering a series of Master Classes, Field Days, Farm Tours, and Networking Potlucks to bring people together around topics related to the foundations of sustainable farming. These programs are great learning and networking opportunities for aspiring and beginning farmers, and even experienced farmers looking for some new ideas! Farm apprentices and interns are especially welcome.
