You can grow your own fruit no matter how little space you have. This series is designed to teach you step by step techniques, offer advice and all the practical know-how you’ll need to fill your plate with fruit from your garden.
For all levels of expertise, all practices are organic.
Join orchard manager, Edyl Cunampio, for a lesson on fruit tree pruning . We'll discuss training techniques, including why it's important to prune, and what branches to cut and when to cut them for apple, pear and peach trees. We'll start with a tutorial on pruning equipment before heading into the orchard to prune a few trees ourselves.
PASA partners with organizations, groups and individuals to bring you ongoing programming centered around homesteading, homemaking and backyard conservation. Our Sustainability School partners coordinate the events and registration, please follow the link for more information and to register.
