Albrecht Methods with Neal Kinsey

We offered this course in 2006 and are repeating it based on requests from our members. This three day course will give you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of your farm’s most precious resource: soil. >From the basics of using and interpreting a soil test to learning to identify the effects of depleted or excessive nutrients in your soil, the lessons you learn here could change the way you farm. Participants will be amazed at what the Albrecht method has to offer them.

Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:

Day 1: Working with soils test, pH and liming; how calcium and magnesium affect crop production; soil compaction and solutions

Day 2: Working with major nutrients, nitrogen and sulfur, potassium and phosphorous; compost and manure; extremes

Day 3: Working with micronutrients; what to do with excessive nutrients; how to correct for excessive traces; neutralizing extreme pH.

Instructor Neal Kinsey studied privately under Dr. Albrecht’s direction and successfully completed the required course material to qualify as a certified agronomist. As a soil fertility management specialist, Neal has served as the principle consultant to a number of agriculture and commercial accounts around the world.
