Elmer and Martha King
will show how they have improved their pastures with rotational
grazing of their dairy herd, composting pigs, and laying hens.
We'll tour the pastures and milking parlor where the Kings will
discuss sanitation and safety regulations for liquid raw milk
sales. In the afternoon, choose between an in-depth discussion
of farm operations with Elmer, or Martha's demonstration of small
batch, home-scale production for the dairy enthusiast, including
basic recipes for cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, and
yogurt.
Triangle Organics is
a 64-acre, certified organic dairy farm raising pastured pork
and free range laying hens as well as milking 30 head of Jersey
cows. The Kings operate with a PA state raw milk permit.
