Event Description
Healthy soils area critical resource on any farm, and growing soil health requires a sound strategy and tools to measure progress. Through our Soil Health Benchmark Study, PASA farmers are working to measure and improve their soil health over time, as individuals and as a community. Participating farmers submit soil samples to the Cornell Comprehensive Assessment of Soil Health and also share information about their soil management practices, including cover cropping, reducing tillage, and organic amendments.

At this webinar, we’ll gear-up together for PASA’s 2018 Soil Health Benchmark study. Participants will learn how to sign up for the study, and what farm management activities they need to track to participate.

Jenn Halpin from the Dickinson College Farm will also share how they are using results from the PASA study to guide plans for cover cropping, reducing tillage, and fertilizer and amendment purchases.
Registration will be open until Wednesday 3/28/2018 at 5pm.
