Event Description
This will be a hands-on workshop showing various types of grafting and pruning techniques. Chuck Pifer, long-time orchardist, will demonstrate fruit tree grafting methods, including whip & tongue and cleft, in addition, he will share his experiences (successes and failures) and favorite tools. Rusty Orner, 30-year pruner, will help you prune fruits trees, of all age, character and species. Rusty’s step-by-step techniques will give you the confidence to beautify, maintain, and heal your present or future fruit orchard.

Attendees will have time to practice grafting and pruning.
Registration will be open from 3/13/2017 to 4/10/2017 at noon.

Quiet Creek Herb Farm & School of Country Living Inc. is a 30-acre organic farm located north of Brookville in Jefferson and Clarion Counties, Pennsylvania dedicated to educating all ages about the importance of conservation, ecological thinking, and healthful living.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Is there financial aid for this event?
Sorry, there is no scholarship for this specific event.
What should I prepare/bring with me to this event?
Rain gear.
Gardening clothing/shoes.
A very sharp paring knife and/or pruning shears (if available).
A reusable water bottle to fill on site and stay hydrated.
A note-taking device.
Remember your business cards- PASA events are an excellent networking opportunity.
Bring your questions! Make the most of this event by preparing several questions for the day.
Will food be served?
Yes, lunch is included with the registration fees. The meal will be vegetarian friendly.
