Cancelled: PASA Western Region Master Class - Raising Woodlot Turkeys

The driving mission at Big Horn Ranch is nutrient recycling...the raspberries that this turkey poult is picking were grown in composted winter beef manure from our herd of Highland cattle. The acorns the birds will finish on before Thanksgiving were fertilized by foraging hogs a few years ago. Come explore the many cycles of nature these fabulous birds thrive within as they self harvest small grains, eat grasshoppers we harvest from neighboring fields, and the various wild nut stands they will fatten on beside our hogs this fall.
