Welcome!

PASA’s Apprenticeship Directory helps connect people wanting to learn sustainable farming skills with experienced farmers willing to share their expertise. The typical arrangement involves an exchange of labor for room, board, a stipend, and an informal but intensive training experience.

All farms can share a written agreement outlining expectations and compensation, provide a mix of instruction and hands-on work, and offer opportunities to participate in additional educational events, such as field days and workshops.

Take a minute to review the Pennsylvania map below and feel free to contact any farms on which you may be interested in working and learning.

Important Note:
A listing in PASA Apprenticeship Directory does not imply an endorsement of an individual farm or apprenticeship opportunity. Our goal is to help connect apprentices and beginning-farmers with quality on-farm training opportunities. We do not have the resources or expertise to police apprentice-mentor relationships, or to act as arbiters in apprentice-mentor disputes. Participants are expected to do their own due diligence, including reference checks, and to not enter into working or training relationships without careful consideration.
